Associate/ Vice President – Market Risk Capital Project Manager/Business Analyst – NYC


Full Job Description

The key activities of will include:

Work with all functional groups (e.g. Quantitative Research, Technology, Model Risk Governance & Review, Finance, Risk Reporting) to coordinate and oversee governance activities for Market Risk Capital, encompassing senior management forums, regulatory communications, and preparation of material for regulatory meetings

Project Management – manage plans, track deadlines, issues and risk, generate initiative MIS

Work in conjunction with other work streams building an awareness of dependencies (internal & external), identifying potential issues and presenting solutions.

Ensure effective internal communications among all the work steams and stakeholders ensuring all are engaged.

Gather business requirements from key stakeholders, and provide leadership to drive technology requirements and developments across all team

Skills Required

Previous experience in Project/Program Management, Business Management, or Regulatory Coordination in Capital Markets/Investment Banking

Strong leadership and influencing skills, ability to build and maintain relationships with functional partners and stakeholders

Ability to clearly define and articulate business requirements.

Excellent communication, presentation (both oral and written) & influencing skills

Effective project management and change management skills. Ability to support & adopt within a changing environment.

Strong time management skills; efficient at multi-tasking and able to work under pressure to deliver multiple business demands on-time, to a high-level standard

Familiarity with Trading Book products, economics, and risk management concepts at a high level

Experience in working with technology development teams during build and implementation

Prior experience with risk management and PnL infrastructure across multiple asset classes preferred

Some knowledge of Trading Book Capital Rules (Basel 2.5/3, FRTB, etc.) and regulatory interactions/exams preferred
