Bachelor’s Degree

Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

3+ years relevant experience in financial/business analysis

Experience in SQL

Highly proficient using at least one data visualization product (Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, etc.)

Advanced working knowledge of data mining using , ETL, data warehouse as well as Excel

Proven track record of crystallizing out impactful and actionable insight from big data.

Excellent written and verbal communications across technical and non-technical stakeholders and experience presenting to senior executives.

Amazon Fresh is a new grocery store designed from the ground up to offer a seamless grocery shopping experience, whether customers are shopping in store or online. We’ve taken our decades of operations experience to deliver consistently low prices for all and FREE, same-day delivery for Prime members. Customers will find a wide assortment of national brands and high-quality produce, meat, and seafood; plus our culinary team offers customers a range of delicious prepared foods made fresh in store, every day. We’ve also introduced new ways to make grocery shopping more convenient, including the Amazon Dash Cart, which enables customers to skip the checkout line, and new Alexa features to help customers manage their shopping lists and better navigate our aisles.

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to support the marketing team. This position can be located in Seattle or New York.

The right person for this role will have experience working with ambiguous data sets, with the ability to create scalable, automated, and actionable reporting to influence data-driven decisions across marketing.

This role requires an individual with excellent statistical and analytical abilities, strong attention to detail, deep knowledge of business intelligence solutions (like Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau, Quicksight, Redshift) as well as outstanding business acumen and ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with both business owners and other analytics teams. Flexibility, influencing others, and the ability to prioritize in a changing business environment will also be key.

Your success in the role will have a large impact on improving the customer experience and growing the business.

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, Data Science or a related discipline.

5+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analysis role

Experience with retail, grocery and/or marketing.

Experience understanding physical store and/or on-line customer traffic

Experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting
