To assist Sr. Manager, Facility Operations with year round facility maintenance upkeep and cleaning operations of the US Open and year round events.
Perform maintenance and repair of facility doors, hardware, millwork/carpentry, seats, furniture, rails, staging, fixtures, locksmith, painting and associated equipment.
Executes general repairs and adjustments to equipment used in building and maintenance work including emergency repairs as required.
Perform variety of corrective and preventive maintenance.
Read & interpret blueprints, specifications, show drawings, schematic manufacturer’s specifications and other reference materials to determine appropriate job requirements and procedures.
Daily oversight of CMMS work order requests for Facility Operations and performing task requested or delegation to cleaning staff/vendors and close out of requests.
Maintain accurate records of labor time, parts used, work accomplished through daily logs, maintenance software and allocation sheets.
Assists with event set-ups and changeover maintenance needs.
Performs inspections to ensure proper safety on various equipment.
Work with Sr. Manager, Facility operations post US Open to assess and conduct annual maintenance and repairs of the NTC/BJK site.
Act as a liaison between outside cleaning vendors and USTA in coordinating of supply ordering and delivery to end-users.
Works with Sr. Manager, Facility Operations to assist with the oversite of subordinate supervisors and lead employees responsible for cleaning operations who oversee and direct employees in various functions inclusive of cleaning/powerwashers/maintenance staff.
Work with Sr. Manager, Facility Operations and NTC HR to respond to and address any seasonal employee issues.
Responsible for conducting quality control of the seasonal cleaning staff to ensure that the work is done up to the standards of the US Open.
Coordinates operational activities with other departments to assure facility
readiness and smooth operation of events, along with providing clear, concise, and timely communication of directives to other departments.
Act as a liaison between the Suite Administration department and the Facility Operations department to resolve any outstanding cleaning or maintenance issues.

Four years+ carpentry experience; or, any equivalent combination of experience
and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
Must be bilingual- English and Spanish
Must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination
Knowledge of the standard methods, practices, principles, tools, and equipment used in the carpentry trade.
Skill in constructing, altering and repairing walls, doors, windows, furniture, and cabinets according to blue prints, work orders, and sketches.
Ability to estimate time and materials needed for assigned work projects.
Ability to perform moderate to heavy manual labor.
Knowledge of safe operation of hand and power tools.
Experience working overseeing a cleaning operation is a plus.
