Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Repair Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC/R systems, including air conditioning and refrigeration. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The Repair Technician will work both independently and collaboratively, utilizing technical expertise to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair HVAC/R systems, including air conditioning and refrigeration units.
- Utilize tools such as Ohmmeters to test electrical components and ensure proper functionality.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and troubleshoot effectively.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prolong lifespan and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to build and install new HVAC/R systems as required.
- Drive company van to various job sites for service calls and installations.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance performed, and parts used.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working with ammonia refrigeration systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Service Technician in the HVAC/R field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating systems.
- Familiarity with electrical testing tools such as Ohmmeters.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics related to HVAC systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for van driving duties.
- Certification in HVAC or relevant technical training is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
