Location: 14 Wall Street, 17th Floor New York, NY 10005

Position: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Pay: $21.39–$31.50/hour (based on experience and certification status)
Location: Multiple Columbia-affiliated ambulatory care sites – location varies by practice
Schedule: Full-time, weekdays only

Requirements:

• 6 months of CMA experience REQUIRED
  High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
• National CMA certifications that are accepted  – (AAMA, AMT, or equivalent)
• Basic proficiency in computer systems (Epic EMR experience preferred)
• Must be flexible to float between multiple clinical sites in Manhattan
• Candidates must have completed CMA Coursework and must receive license within the first 30 days of hire, 1st test can be funded by the employer.

• Prepare patients for visits (vitals, medication reconciliation, chief complaint documentation)
• Assist with clinical procedures and provide chaperone support when needed
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing
• Maintain infection control protocols and ensure a clean, safe exam room environment
• Accurately update and navigate EMR (Epic)

• Track and manage patient flow
• Schedule appointments, handle referrals, and support check-in/check-out processes
• Answer phones and communicate patient updates

• Maintain HIPAA and OSHA compliance
• Participate in practice improvement efforts
• Ensure adequate PPE and inventory levels

• Associate’s degree or additional academic coursework
• Experience in multi-specialty or high-volume settings
• Proficiency in Epic and OSHA standards
